St. John Broken Arrow Names CEO

Tulsa, Okla. -- St. John Health System is pleased to announce the appointment of David Phillips as chief executive officer for St. John Broken Arrow hospital. Phillips, a 22-year healthcare veteran, will oversee all strategic, operational, and administrative activities of the 96-bed, 150,000 square-foot hospital.

Phillips assumes the position of St. John Broken Arrow chief executive officer in addition to his current role of St. John Owasso chief executive officer, a position he has held since the hospital opened in 2006. Since St. John Broken Arrow’s design and services are partially modeled after St. John Owasso, Phillips’ leadership experience is a natural fit in the development and opening of the Broken Arrow facility.

”St. John is pleased to be able to provide health care services to Broken Arrow and surrounding areas,” said Phillips. “St. John has been welcomed with open arms and seen excellent success in Owasso. We look forward to a similar experience in Broken Arrow.”

Prior to assuming the CEO position at St. John Owasso, Phillips served as president of SFSJ Ventures, LLC. In this role, Phillips led the creation of Owasso Medical Center, Owasso’s first large-scale medical office building.

Additionally, the commercial development area adjacent to the hospital will include retail establishments, banks, full-service restaurants and hotel services.
